Flow CytometerThe instrument is the FACS Vantage SE DiVa made by Becton Dickinson (BD). It is a high speed cell sorter, capable of sorting up to 10-15,000 events/sec. It is equipped with a single, water-cooled 488nm laser line with UV (351nm, ~10mW) capability, Enterprise I laser. In addition to Forward and Side (90 degree) Scatter, it has four fluorescence detector photo multiplier tubes (PMTs). It is capable of four-way sorting directly into BD Falcon 5ml polystyrene round-bottom tubes (12 x 75mm).
